Andrew Garfield was the latest guest who sat down for a conversation with Esquire. The Tick Tick Boom actor is currently occupied with the promotion of his and Florence Pugh’s romantic drama, We Live in Time, distributed by A24.
In the interview, Andrew Garfield was asked about his thoughts on the fan theory that suggested that Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling’s La La Land, took inspiration from his and Stone’s relationship. Without wasting any time, Garfield stated, “I guess people need something to believe.” He denied being open about his personal life to the public and said, “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.”
As per a report by US Weekly, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone first fueled dating rumors during the making of Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man in 2011, which was confirmed by the outlet. Following the release of the movie, fans were spellbound with the amazing chemistry that Garfield and Stone shared on-screen and off-screen.
However, it was reported that the duo had gone their separate ways in October 2015. Furthermore, after La La Land starring Gosling and Stone came out on December 9, 2016, many fans came up with theories that the story of the movie was taken from Stone and Garfield’s romance. But nothing was confirmed by the makers of the film.
