Dressed in a plaid flannel jacket, Springsteen didn’t hold back his criticism of former President Donald Trump. The singer referred to Trump as “the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.” He expressed deep concern about the political and social divisions in the country. The singer stated, “Perhaps not since the Civil War has this great country felt as politically, spiritually and emotionally divided as it does at this moment. It doesn’t have to be this way.”
Springsteen praised Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for their vision of an inclusive America, emphasizing the need for unity across all facets of society. He outlined values he believes make America great, including freedom, social justice, and equal opportunity. The iconic musician further asserted that these should benefit all citizens, “not just a few like me on top.”
