Balloon Fiesta celebrates ‘New Mexico Day’ on Monday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was day three of the 52nd annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and on Monday morning, balloons filled the sky. The fiesta celebrated New Mexico Day where all residents in the state were able to get in for free. The fiesta kicked off Saturday and has brought hundreds of families together.

A first-time attendee said she was happy with the results of the fiesta. “I had no idea what to expect kind of but it kind of exceeded my expectations there were balloons everywhere and they were gorgeous,” said Julia Schultz.

For those attending on Tuesday, it will be Coca-Cola Day. The fiesta ends on Sunday.
