The show’s creator, Meaghan Oppenheimer, has thought of possible narratives to touch upon in Tell Me Lies Season 3, should it be renewed. Nevertheless, the creators still have a lot left to map out at the time of writing.
Oppenheimer revealed the current progress on the potential third season of Tell Me Lies while talking to DC Film Girl. During the conversation, the accredited screenwriter admitted that she was much better prepared while conceptualizing Season 2 than she is for Tell Me Lies Season 3.
“I had more of Season 2 figured out from the beginning. Season 3 is definitely more uncharted territory,” the creative executive said. “There are a lot of ideas of what could happen. I think that certain characters definitely deserve justice that I think needs to happen if there’s a Season 3. I think there’s always more story to tell,” she added.
Executive producer Emma Roberts echoed Oppenheimer’s sentiments in a recent discussion with Nylon, where she firmly established her desire for Tell Me Lies Season 3. Despite the duo’s apparent enthusiasm for adding another chapter to the franchise, a third season has yet to receive the official greenlight from the studios.
