New Mexico’s Corley sisters are in Van Tate’s Sports Office

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After a very successful college tennis career at the University of Oklahoma Ivana and Carmen Corley are ready to take professional tennis by storm. The sisters made their U.S. Open debut playing doubles this year winning their first match before falling short in the second.

The experience lifted the profile of the tennis-playing sisters from Albuquerque. “We like to just dream big and I would say the next biggest goal would be to get our ranking at the point where we can get into the grand slams on our own and not from a wildcard,” said Carmen Corley. “So, we’re kind of shooting for the Australian Open, but I think we’re pretty short on time for that.” The sisters are thinking they may play an event at Indian Hills in the near future. “I think this coming year we have a lot of big tournaments that we definitely have a chance to play in,” said Ivana Corley.” It’s way more on the radar. That’s exciting.”

The Corley sisters talked about much more in their visit to Van Tate’s Sports Office.
