While The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 streams on Prime Video, Critical Role producer Travis Willingham teased Season 4 as well. As per his comments, the future of the series may not be set in stone and fans might have to contribute to get it renewed. Here’s what Willingham stated about upcoming seasons after the release of Vox Machina Season 3.
The Legend of Vox Machina producer states how Season 4 could happen
Many believe that Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina would not just return for Season 4, but a potential Season 5 as well.
This is due to the SAG-AFTRA production listing, which reportedly stated the next two seasons to be in development, per Comic Book. However, Travis Willingham’s latest comments could suggest that Season 4 may not be confirmed to happen.
During The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 launch party on Critical Role, he teased plans to introduce Taryon Darrington. The character appears in the 4th Arc of the source material. So, Willingham insists on people watching Season 3, so they can get to explore Taryon Darrington’s storyline in the future.
Willingham said:
“We’ll have to get enough seasons where we can get to Taryon, and he can sketch everybody naked, and then that would be great… So, everybody watch so that we can get a whole season.”
The producer later asked people to view the show again, saying, “Watch Season 3 as many times as you can, so they’ll give us a Season 4.” His comments clarify that the next season is dependent on the current season’s viewership.

Travis Willingham voices Grog Strongjaw in The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3. Other voice cast members include Laura Bailey as Vex Taliesin, Ashley Johnson as Pike Trickfoot, Liam O’Brien as Vax, Marisha Ray as Keyleth, Jaffe as Percy, and Matthew Mercer as Trinket, among others.
Currently, six episodes of Season 3 are available to watch on Prime Video. The final two episodes will arrive on October 17, 2024.
