Rainbow Kitten Surprise Partner with PLUS1 to Pledge $50,000 for Hurricane Relief in Home State of North Carolina

RMAG news

Today, Rainbow Kitten Surprise have unveiled a commitment to give back to their hometown in a time of crisis. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which wrought unprecedented destruction in the counties of Western North Carolina, the Boone, N.C. band has partnered with PLUS1 Rapid Relief Fund to provide immediate aid for the communities uprooted by the Category 4 storm, pledging $50,000 to support the relief organization’s efforts.

PLUS1 Rapid Relief Fund supports both immediate aid and long-term relief efforts to help heal the region overwhelmed by flash flooding and lashing winds. The fund is one of many projects currently underway from PLUS1, a nonprofit focused on activating partnerships with high-profile artists and events to support high-impact social and environmental justice initiatives. Funds for Rainbow Kitten Suprise’s pledge will be drawn from the proceeds of the band’s fall tour ticket sales.

To further its pledge, RKS has announced that it will broadcast its forthcoming North Carolina performance with pay-per-view streams. The band, alongside openers Brook & The Bluff, will take the stage at Charlotte, N.C.’s Spectrum Center on August 25 and Raleigh, N.C.’s PNC Arena on Oct. 26. Fans can tune in to the home state shows via nugs.net.

Rainbow Kitten Suprise’s current tour supports the release of Love Hate Music Box, the genre-bending indie-folk-rock-power-pop quartet’s first new record since 2018’s acclaimed How To: Friend, Love, Freefall. The group will continue its tour across North America through the end of November. For tickets and more information, visit rksband.com.
