NMSU hold’s annual ‘Clothesline Project’ to bring awareness of violence, abuse

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico State University is raising awareness and honoring survivors of violence. On Tuesday, October 15, the university is hosting its third annual “Clothesline Project” in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The display created by the Department of Criminal Justice showcases t-shirts with anonymous messages and stories written by survivors of assault and abuse. The display will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the third-floor ballroom of the Corbett Center on NMSU’s campus.

Local law enforcement agencies and victim advocacy groups will also be at the event offering information and resources for visitors. Learn more about The Clothesline Project at https://www.theclotheslineproject.org/.
