The Elite, consisting of The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada, saw a member leave the faction. The star was none other than former AEW World Champion Hangman Page.

Page, who was last seen back in March at the AEW Revolution in a triple threat match against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland, attacked AEW officials during the match. This led to The Elite making changes within the faction, where they fired Kenny Omega and suspended Hangman Page.

The Young Bucks then added Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry to the faction. Currently, The Elite dominates the top positions, with each member holding a title in AEW. Hangman Page, however, isn’t happy with his best friends, The Young Bucks, who suspended him in March. Page made his shocking return on AEW Dynamite as a wildcard entrant in the Owen Hart Tournament. Fans witnessed a different side of Page following his return, as he viciously attacked Jeff Jarrett for the win.

After his win, he was interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage. During this interview, he was asked about his actions against Jeff Jarrett. However, The Young Bucks interrupted them, with Hangman Page already looking angry at them and announcing he was no longer part of The Elite.

Hangman Page claims he is no longer the puppet of The Elite

After his return, Hangman Page was confronted by The Elite backstage on Dynamite, declaring he was no longer part of the faction. During the segment, Matthew Jackson informed Page that they had lifted his suspension and secured him a spot in the tournament. Matthew then attempted to recruit Page for The Elite’s team in Blood & Guts. In response, Page grabbed his jacket, mentioning he was not a puppet, and announced his departure from The Elite.

Page declared his goal to win the Owen Hart Tournament. Nicholas then questioned Page about his issue. Page pushed Nicholas aside and angrily left. It seems Page hasn’t forgotten his rivalry with Swerve Strickland, the current AEW World Champion. The tournament winner will earn a shot at Strickland at All In in Wembley Stadium.
