Following Roxanne Perez’s recent interaction with CM Punk after the NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event, former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee sent out a message to Perez. This past weekend saw WWE and UFC’s first collaboration under TKO Group Holdings as WWE hosted the NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event at UFC’s Apex in Las Vegas.
The show featured top stars from the black and gold brand, including Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Lola Vice, Shayna Baszler, Trick Williams, Ethan Page, and many others. Furthermore, the NXT Women’s title match saw Roxanne Perez put her title on the line against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. However, interference from Tatum Paxley and former WWE star Dana Brooke caused a distraction, allowing Perez to secure a win against Grace.
After retaining her NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Battleground, Roxanne Perez was giving a backstage interview. During the interview, Perez challenged the interviewer’s surprise at her win. This was followed by an unexpected interruption from CM Punk. Already frustrated by the interviewer’s reaction, Perez wasn’t receptive to Punk’s advice and called him a hypocrite before leaving the interview. A visibly surprised Punk then questioned the interviewer if this was Perez’s usual behavior.
Recently, CM Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, was spotted at the Tribeca Film Festival. Lee posted pictures of herself from the festival and received a response from Roxanne Perez on the post. Perez commented on her interaction with Lee’s husband, CM Punk, at WWE NXT Battleground 2024. In a playful manner, Lee responded that she would fight Punk for her daughter. Fans are familiar with Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade referring to themselves as the daughters of Punk and Lee in fun banter.

CM Punk confronted Roxanne Perez after her victory against Jordynne Grace at WWE NXT Battleground 2024. During Perez’s interview, Punk interrupted and called her out for her win. He mentioned that she was the champion for a reason and stood out among all the women. However, he then called out her victory by stating that she got lucky in her match. He advised her to focus on the NXT Women’s Championship and to be true to herself.
Frustrated, Roxanne Perez chose not to follow CM Punk’s advice. Instead, she labeled him a hypocrite.
