Albuquerque City Council passes tax break for San Mateo tower developers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque City Council passed a tax break for developers looking to transform one of the vacant towers on San Mateo and Central Ave. into affordable housing. The tower used to be an office building.

It’s all part of the city’s Park Central Project, which aims to redevelop old landmarks and revitalize empty buildings. The Metro Redevelopment Agency said the plan is to create 100 apartment units in the old tower.
