Albuquerque issues health alerts for ozone levels

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is issuing health alerts for those with upper respiratory problems. The city said ozone levels are high and they’ve triggered health alerts.

Wildfire smoke and pollutants from cars are adding to ozone levels. “We tend to have these, it’s more likely when there’s a smoky haze in the air and that’s going to continue for at least a couple more days, so people can plan their days on that,” said City of Albuquerque Meteorologist on Staff Jeff Stonsifer.
