Albuquerque man pleads guilty to pointing rifle at cars

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –A man who was accused of pointing a rifle at cars as they passed a busy intersection in 2021 has plead guilty. Ashton Butler pled guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In June of 2021, Butler pointed a rifle at drivers on the corner of Louisiana and San Antonio.

As part of the agreement, Butler is entering the Veterans Treatment Court Program. He will be sentenced once he completes the program.
