ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who was found guilty of shooting a man to death outside of an Albuquerque smoke shop four years ago will spend at least the next 30 years behind bars. Roman Cerna was found guilty of first-degree murder in June.
In July 2020, Cerna shot and killed Chance Elkshoulder outside the Dank Smoke Shop near San Pedro and Kathryn. Judge David Murphy handed down a life sentence on Tuesday. Cerna will have to serve at least 30 years before he is eligible for parole.
