ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The annual Summerfest events that happen every year across Albuquerque have already begun. Heights Summerfest was on June 15, however, there are two more you can attend this year. Here’s what you need to know.
Route 66 Summerfest
The next Summerfest will happen on July 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Central between Washington St. and Girard Blvd. in Nob Hill. This free event will feature multiple stages with performances of local bands, food trucks, and more. Pets are welcome on leashes. This is a rain-or-shine event. Central Ave. will be closed from midnight on Friday, July 19 until midnight on Saturday, July 20. Bus routes will be affected.
Route 66 Summerfest will feature national headliner The Family Stone on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Original founding member of Sly & The Family Stone Jerry Martini along with Phunne Stone (daughter of Sly Stone) lead the group. Below is the full entertainment schedule:

The Shops at Albuquerque Summerfest will feature handmade products from local businesses such as Bubble Heart Soap Co LLC, ChangeOut Jewelry, Crafted by Mark, Da Real Sprayz, and Desert Jewelry Expressions. Also, Nob Hill businesses will be open during the event as well.
Parking
Paid parking lots and street parking are available in the surrounding area. There is also a free park-and-ride option. Park in the lot on the southwest corner of Lomas Blvd. and University Blvd. There will be buses that run from the lot to UNM’s Johnson Field next to Girard throughout the event. The last bus will be at 10:30 p.m.
Westside Summerfest
Westside Summerfest will be on August 3 at Ventana Ranch Community Park from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This free event will feature small businesses with handcrafted products in The Shops, food trucks with freshly made cuisine, and drinks from local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. There will be entertainment by local bands across two stages.
The event is free to the public. Pets are welcome on leashes. Glass and alcohol are not permitted at public parks. It’s a rain-or-shine event
