Albuquerque woman sentenced for stabbing death of her boyfriend

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Chrystyne Sanchez was sentenced Monday for the stabbing death of her boyfriend in 2019. Sanchez took a plea deal, pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in 2023.


FBI offers $5K reward for information about death of woman on New Mexico highway

In 2019, Christian Reed was stabbed to death at Sanchez’ apartment in Albuquerque. Sanchez told police the two got into a fight and Reed threatened her with a knife, so she stabbed him. Under the plea agreement, Judge Lucy Solimon sentenced Sanchez to two year, with time served she’ll be released on January 6 and sent to a drug rehabilitation center.
