They reportedly started seeing each other during the summer, PEOPLE reported recently. According to the outlet, Lovell is a former deputy editor of the New York Times Magazine. He recently forayed into podcasting and now works as Executive Editor for Pineapple Street Studios. As per the company’s website, he has worked on projects like Missing Richard Simmons, Wind of Change, and 9/12.
Recently, Poehler also ventured into podcasting. In September 2023, she announced her partnership with close friend Liz Cackowski and company Audacy to produce the scripted comedy podcast series Say More with Dr? Sheila. Interestingly, Lovell’s Pineapple Street Studios is also owned by Audacy. This suggests that they may have met via their mutual association with Audacy, however, nothing is confirmed.
Amy Poehler was previously involved with comedian Nick Kroll between 2013 and 2015. She also apparently went on a date with John Stamos once, though it appears their connection did not go beyond that dinner. In 2014, Poehler expressed uncertainty about whether her outing with Stamos was a date. The Full House star, on the other hand, said in an interview that while it was a date from his perspective, he sensed Poehler perhaps didn’t know at the time that it was.
Before this, Poehler was married to Will Arnett between 2003 and 2016. While they had separated in 2012, their divorce got finalized in 2016. She shares two sons with Arnett.
