Asif Kapadia’s Sport Doc ‘Federer: Twelve Final Days’ Official Trailers

“These are the nerves I’m gonna miss once I’m officially retired.” Prime Video has revealed the main trailer for the sports documentary titled Federer: Twelve Final Days, about the tennis legend Roger Federer. It will be streaming later in June on PV. From Academy Award-winning director Asif Kapadia (Amy, Senna) and co-director Joe Sabia, this film intimately captures tennis icon Roger Federer during the final 12 days of his professional tennis career. Originally created as a home video never intended for public viewing, the film captures Federer at his most vulnerable and candid self, as he says his final goodbyes to a game and to all of the fans that shaped his life for the last two decades. The film will feature interviews from legendary rivals & friends Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray. And appearances from John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, and many others. In his time, Federer won 8 Wimbledon titles, and 103 singles titles on the ATP Tour, the second most of all time, including 20 major men’s singles titles. He officially retired from tennis in 2022 – this is about his last final weeks. This looks very good! I’m always up to watch anything Asif Kapadia makes. // Continue Reading ›
