Ausmusic T-Shirt Day To Return Next Month

If you’ve been thinking of adding another shirt to your ongoing band t-shirt collection, now is the time, as Ausmusic T-Shirt Day prepares to make its return next month.

Happening on Wednesday, 28 November, Australian music industry charity Support Act has revealed the date for its annual fundraiser, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, which will return on Thursday, 28 November.

This year’s theme is “Life’s better with Australian music” – a fact – and is supported by ARIA, triple j, Mushroom Creative House, and AAMI.

Today, the official and exclusive Ausmusic T-Shirt Day premium t-shirt range has been launched, featuring new shirts from Paul Kelly, The Amity Affliction, Royel Otis, Powderfinger, Angus & Julia Stone, G Flip, Diesel, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, Ninajirachi, The Wolfe Brothers, and more.

The premium t-shirt range arrives as part of the first phase of the annual Ausmusic T-Shirt Day campaign: “Wear and donate.” Part of the artist-led t-shirts will honour women in Australian music and celebrate our homegrown heroes.

The premium t-shirt range features items sold for $50, with 100% of proceeds going to Support Act, courtesy of support from Gildan Brands and Love Police. Orders are open until Friday, 25 October—get in quick and order your t-shirt here.

In addition to the premium shirt range on the Ausmusic T-Shirt Day website, punters can also purchase shirts from merch partners supporting the charity campaign, including Artist First, Love Police, Bad Apples, Merch Jungle, Sound Merch, Sound of Vinyl, Warner Music, High Tees, On Repeat, and Crew Care. All merch partners will donate a percentage of t-shirt sales to Support Act.

If you’re taking part in this year’s big day and want to share your involvement, you can share the love on social media by using the hashtag #ausmusictshirtday and tagging @supportact @triple_j @aria_official @mushroomcreativehouse @gildanbrandsaustralia @aami_insurance.

Businesses can also support Ausmusic T-Shirt Day by organising a team to fundraise with their family, friends, and workplace.

Organisations supporting this year’s event include OMD, Sony Music Australia, ICC Sydney, Warner Music, Sorrento Strategic, Showgroup, Lemon Tree Music, Office for the Arts, Universal Music, Live Nation, Sennheiser and Creative Australia.

Meanwhile, business partners who will participate and host in-venue activations, ticket sales, donations and other support are ALWAYS LIVE, ALH Group, JB Hi-Fi, Live Nation, Moshtix, Mushroom Group, OMD, Oztix, Sound As Ever and Ticketek.

Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act, said of the annual event: “Australian music is more than just the soundtrack to our lives – it’s a reflection of the strength and creativity of individuals and our industry. With the rising cost of living – and the cost of making music – the people who make up our vital industry are facing more challenges than ever before.

“When they find themselves in crisis, Support Act is there – supporting musicians, managers, crew and music workers through crisis relief support, mental health and wellbeing programs, the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline, and dedicated First Nations support.”
