BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The county has posted the resumes of potential candidates for the next county manager. On June 5, the county commission will consider the resumes.
The county is looking for someone to replace Julie Morgas Baca, who is resigning. The county manager is tasked with carrying out county business that is approved by the commission. The search process for a new manager has sparked debate among commissioners and even led to an investigation by the New Mexico Department of Justice.
Now, the county commission has a list of eight candidates. You can find each of their resumes at this link. They include both locals and individuals with out-of-state experience.
The search committee will go into a closed interview session with candidates on June 3. Then, they will narrow the list of candidates down to five. Those five will be presented to the county commissioners for a closed meeting on June 5.
