Blumhouse unveiled six video games that it was publishing under their newly formed Blumhouse Games label during Summer Game Fest on Friday.
The horror studio announced that it would be creating a publishing label that would help independent developers make games. At Summer Game Fest, they showed off a brief look at six of those games. The games shown off include things like a first-person shooter, farming simulator, a survival horror game, and more, all of which are set in the horror genre.
Perhaps most surprising, however, was the announcement of a new project from Sam Barlow’s Half Mermaid, made in conjunction with director Brandon Cronenberg. The mysterious game, known as “Project C,” wasn’t shown off beyond just a teasing announcement, however.

What is Blumhouse Games?
Last year, Blumhouse Games announced plans to partner with independent developers of horror games for console, PC, and mobile devices. The company will also target games made below $10 million to “enable innovation and [push] creative boundaries.”
The label is being led by several video game industry veterans. President Zach Wood has been in the industry for decades. He’s worked on titles like Hohokum, The Unfinished Swan, Bound, and 2012’s Twisted Metal at Sony and Prey: Mooncrash and Redfall at Bethesda. Former Global Head of Business Operations, Planning & Strategy Don Sechler was also at PlayStation and is CFO at Blumhouse Games.
