According to the latest reports, it appears that Starr will not play Booster Gold or any other character in the DCU. However, the Banshee actor told ComicBook that he can’t wait to see what Gunn would do with the DC Universe. “I think he’s a phenomenal director, producer, talent. He’s one of the biggest brands in the industry, so I’m excited to see what he cooks up,” he added.
Back in January 2023, Gunn described the Booster Gold TV series as a “story of a superhero’s imposter syndrome.”
Besides Starr, actors Dylan Playfair, Fionn Whitehead, and Patrick Schwarzenegger have been rumored to be in the running to play the character. Chris Pratt, Gunn’s former MCU collaborator, has also shown interest.
