Calm conditions with moisture for some

Some moisture will return to New Mexico this weekend as the monsoon high builds over the Four Corners once again. Today, isolated storms are possible in the mountains of southern Colorado and western and northern New Mexico, with again, most areas staying day. On Sunday though, more moisture will move into the state, bringing a better chance for afternoon storms to the mountains, along with some valleys and the central mountain chain down to to the Sacramento Mountains. Temperatures will also begin a warming trend this weekend.

The same pattern will continue into early next week, with more isolated, mostly mountain, afternoon storms through Tuesday. On Wednesday, drier air will begin moving in from the west, beginning to push out the moisture. This will bring drier weather to almost all of New Mexico for the second half of next week as high temperatures hover near and above normal.
