Chainsaw Man chapter 169 recap: Barem Bridge makes an appearance
The latest chapter of Chainsaw Man, titled “Hands and Adaptation,” saw Denji and company entering a sushi restaurant called Sushishi. Denji scans through the room and observes people’s enthusiastic presence. He wonders if they have had an intimate moment with someone like Denji had with Asa, aka War Devil Yoru.
Denji seems to be in an existential crisis, prompting him to call Pochita to inform him about the awful things that happened to him. At the same time, he reminisces about his intimate encounter with Asa and contemplates his mood.
While Asa wonders if she can wait outside, Higashiyama comments on her calm demeanor despite losing an arm. A stranger, who is later revealed to be Barem Bridge, compares Asa’s situation with an animal and states how animals remain composed when they lose limbs. The stranger adds that devils are incapable of feeling sorrow.
Barem Bridge informs Denji that the Public Safety officials have surrounded the building. He strikes a deal with Denji, promising to take him to Nayuta if he saves them from the officials.
