Challenge Cup final kick-off time moved to honour Rob Burrow at Wembley

Saturday’s Challenge Cup final will be moved from its traditional time-slot of 3pm and kick off seven minutes later as part of the extensive tributes planned by both rugby codes to celebrate the life of Rob Burrow this weekend.

Burrow passed away at the weekend at the age of 41, four and a half years after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease. His death has caused an outpouring of grief both within rugby league and beyond and the RFL has confirmed there will be a series of tributes both before and ­during Saturday’s men’s final between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves.
