The ongoing Xianxia Chinese drama Love’s Rebellion, starring Zhang Linghe and Jing Tian, released episode 14 on August 8, 2024. Episode 14 focuses on Ji Yang (Zhang Linghe) wanting Nan Yan (Jing Tian) to forget about him for her own good.
In this episode, Nan Yan and Mu Zhan Ting encounter some immortals, led by Elder Zhu. Zhan Ting wants to approach them, but Nan Yan stops him since they are outnumbered. Zhan Ting then uses a shapeshifting talisman that a little fox had given him to turn himself into Yin Ya. Meanwhile, Elder Zhu’s eyes fall on Yin Ya, and he decides to interrogate him about Shao Cang’s whereabouts.
Yin Ya and Ji Yang summon the karma talisman and try to tame it. It screeches and asks for help from the Seven Sins manual. Nan Yan, the host body of the manual, was wandering nearby. The talisman enters her body, and Nan Yan’s body begins to transform into the Chongming bird.

The talisman summons the Yin Zhus and hurls attacks on Ji Yang and Yin Ya. Its power is so strong that none of them can go near Nan Yan. But Ji Yang can sense the danger she is in and resists its force and slowly approaches Nan Yan. He ultimately succeeds in getting her out of its spell, and Nan Yan passes out from exhaustion.
Meanwhile, Elder Zhu and his followers corner Mu Zhan Ting, who is using Yin Ya’s body as a disguise. Yin Ya tries to sort out misunderstandings, but they are not ready to listen to him. Having no other choice, he reveals his true appearance. Elder Zhu decides to let him go since Zhan Ting is the son of the Dragon Lord. But Zhan Ting will not let them hurt Ji Yang. Even after being defeated and enduring fatal injuries, he continues to fight against them, refusing to let them leave. Soon, the Dragon Lord appears to save his son. Elder Zhu and his followers run away to save themselves.
Why does Zhang Linghe want Jing Tian to forget about him?
Ji Yang and Yin Ya try to figure out if Nan Yan really is a descendant of the Chongming bloodline. Interestingly, the Chongmings are the last existing royal bloodline. The Queen died on the battlefield to save the spirit clan. Furthermore, Nan Yan’s mother, Nan Fang, is the general of the Yao palace, who has been missing for many years. Ji Yang asks Yin Ya to keep it a secret from Nan Yan as it had been her mother’s dying wish.
After Nan Yan wakes up, the couple reunites. Ji Yang reveals how she has both genies in her body. Nan Yan uses her blood to heal Ji Yang’s injuries. She also forgives him for all the times Ji Yang tried to kill her to get his hand on the manual. But their reunion is cut short when the evil immortals arrive there.
What happens in Love’s Rebellion episode 14’s ending?
They threaten to kill Yin Ya if Ji Yang refuses to hand over the manual. Ji Yang tricks them by saying that he doesn’t care for Yin Ya, as he has tried to harm him as well as Nan Yan many times. Nan Yan uses poison darts to attack the enemies and save Yin Ya. But she falls from the cliff, and Ji Yang follows her into the gorge as well.
Fortunately, the couple survives the fall. Ji Yang gives her the bad news that the valley will close soon and both of them will die. Nan Yan has no regrets, as her mother passed away and she cured Ji Yang’s heart disease. But Ji Yang gambles with his remaining power to save Nan Yan. He kisses her and makes her forget about him.
