City of Albuquerque conducting survey on food waste

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is conducting a study to identify strategies to reduce food waste throughout the city and they are looking for community members to participate.


1994 document puts development of an Albuquerque rehab hospital on hold

The Food Waste Reduction Study is looking for 100 people to participate in a week-long study to identify challenges people face when it comes to wasting food and to gather feedback on how the city can help prevent food waste.

The survey begins on June 17, participants will complete an introductory survey and record their current food waste habits. Each participant will get a food waste reduction kit that can be picked up June 17,18. After the week, participants will fill out a final survey on their food waste habits during the week. Final surveys are due June 26. Survey results will be used to help the city come up with strategies to reducing food waste.
