Competition Council Approves Ardian France’s Takeover of Alstef Group

The Competition Council authorized the transaction by which Ardian France S.A.S., from France, intends to take over Alstef Group S.A.S. and its subsidiaries, including Alstef Roumanie S.R.L.

The Ardian Group deals with investments in other investment funds, direct investments in companies and provides non-bank financing solutions to European mid-cap companies.

France-based Alstef Group and its subsidiaries provide services for automated order handling, sorting and preparation systems and cargo and vehicle storage for the airport, logistics and industrial handling markets.

In Romania, Alstef Automation S.A.S. offers services for the modernization of the baggage lane system at Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest (International Departures).

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment. The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the removal of confidential information.
