Cooler weather and breezy day ahead

Temperatures temporarily cool off today due to a cold front. Rain chances stay spotty in the Gila National Forest.

The front also cooled off temperatures across New Mexico today. The largest differences in temperatures are in the northeast. The cool down will be brief as temperatures will start climbing again tomorrow. Record breaking heat will once again be possible near the end of the week.

These warm and dry conditions are thanks to a high pressure system to the west of New Mexico. While the system will be bringing some moisture to the the state through the week, the rain will not be substantial. Spotty showers in the Northern Mountains and Gila Wilderness will be occurring through the end of the week.
