Crypto advocacy group changes Kamala Harris’ rating from ‘B’ to ‘N/A’

After previously rating Vice President Kamala Harris as being ‘somewhat supportive,’ the Stand With Crypto group has now changed her rating to ‘N/A.’

Stand With Crypto is a non-profit organization aiming to unite crypto advocates. With policy being a key issue within the industry, the group is tracking the election and sharing statements made by the politicians before then giving them a ranking.

After Kamala Harris made a “somewhat supportive statement,” her profile was ranked as a B but this has since changed due to there being “not enough information” about her stance on digital currency.

We’ve tracked 21 statements on crypto from @realDonaldTrump & he’s rated Strongly Supportive.@VP Harris recently made a Somewhat Supportive statement & we’ve added it to our card.

On Sunday (September 22) the Democratic candidate publicly spoke about crypto for the first time as she pledged to support the industry while stressing consumer protections.

Cited by Bloomberg, Harris told a fundraiser in Manhattan: “We will partner together to invest in America’s competitiveness, to invest in America’s future. We will encourage innovative technologies like AI and digital assets while protecting our consumers and investors.”

She added: “We will create a safe business environment with consistent and transparent rules of the road.”

Donald Trump rated ‘A’ by Stand With Crypto

While Harris has only been cited once as discussing crypto, her competitor Donald Trump has mentioned it several times.

According to Stand With Crypto, Trump has to date made 23 statements about digital assets and has been ranked by the group as being in the A category which suggests he “strongly supports crypto.”

It was on September 5, at the Economic Club of New York, when he said: “…instead of attacking industries of the future, we’ll embrace them, including making America the world capital for crypto and Bitcoin.”

He also pledged to “eliminate a minimum of 10 old regulations for every one new regulation” and stated it could be done “quite easily.”

Trump and his family have launched their crypto project, World Liberty Financial, in recent weeks.
