The world of Demon Slayer includes several characters who have become fan favorites in the anime’s four seasons. Knowing their ages and having an insight into their personalities helps add greater value to the experience of witnessing the characters on the screen. Hence, ComingSoon lists seven of the main Demon Slayer characters and their ages, along with a brief dive into their character sketches.
Tanjiro Kamado

In the first chapter and episode of Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado was seen as a 13-year-old. His birthday falls on July 14, and by the end of chapter 204 in the manga, he is 16.
Despite losing his family in a massacre caused by a demon, Tanjiro is known for being kind, gentle, and friendly with everyone. He cooperates and gets along with everyone in the series. So much so that his affectionate disposition helps him calm down his sister Nezuko when she turns into a demon.
Nezuko Kamado

Since Nezuko Kamado’s birthday is December 28, she was 12 years old when Muzan Kibutsuji turned her into a demon in the first chapter of Demon Slayer. Chronologically, she is now a 14-year-old female demon.
Although she loses her human side when Muzan turns her into a demon, she retains her humanity with the help of her brother, Tanjiro, and Sakonji Urokodaki. She is protective of her brother and fights other demons when they pose a threat to him.
Inosuke Hashibira

As of the current status of the anime, Inosuke is a 15-year-old boy whose birthdate is April 22. He is famous for using Beast Breathing and usually wears a boar mask.
Inosuke Hashibira is a quick-tempered, loud, and proud demon slayer who loves taking control of situations, especially in combat. Due to his harsh upbringing, he gets uneasy when someone shows him kindness. However, despite his abrasive nature, he protects his comrades when circumstances call for it.
Zenitsu Agatsuma

A master of the first form of Thunder Breathing, Zenitsu Agatsuma is 16-year-old in the present arc of Demon Slayer. His birthday is on September 3 and remains a peculiar character in the series.
Zenitsu, who is usually timid and anxious about his abilities, is one of the most talented characters in Demon Slayer. However, it is only when he sleeps that his anxiety is replaced with confidence in the proficient use of his technique. Despite keeping his eyes closed and being deep in slumber, Zenitsu fights with accurate precision, making him one of the most skilled characters.
Giyu Tomioka

The Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, is 21 years of age, and his birthday falls on February 8. He is the first Hashira to appear in Demon Slayer and becomes one of Tanjiro’s close companions.
Giyu is famous for his aloof personality and nonchalant expression. He barely speaks but shows his strong sense of justice through his actions. Moreover, Giyu, despite being a demon slayer, decides to let Nezuko live when she appears in front of him with Tanjiro.
Muichiro Tokito

The youngest Hashira within the Demon Slayer Corps, Muichiro Tokito, is 14 years old in Demon Slayer. He is known as the Mist Hashira and is famous for Mist Breathing as his dominant combat style.
Before his memories are restored, Muichiro seems to remain unfazed by things around him. Often lost in thought, he would function on logic, thus coming off as cold and arrogant. This was until he remembered his past and became expressive, especially in front of Tanjiro, for whom he seems to have a softer side.
Tengen Uzui

Now retired, Tengen Uzui was formerly the Sound Hashira within the Demon Slayer Corps. He is 23 years old, and his birthday is on October 31.
Tengen Uzui is famous for being a flashy swordsman. He proclaims to be flamboyant and unapologetically shows off his deep love and care for his three wives. After the Entertainment District arc, he loses his arm, but that does not stop him from being as flashy and confident as ever.
