Episode 5 of the new rom-com K-drama Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale aired on TVING on Friday, June 14, 2024. In the episode, viewers see Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young) helping Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) in front of everyone at the art exhibition. The episode also features a heart-fluttering moment between the two as they share their first kiss.
Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale episode 5 further shows Moon Cha Min pretending not to have romantic feelings for Shin Jae Rim. However, in reality, he has certainly fallen for her. Furthermore, in the fifth episode, Baek Do Hong (Kim Hyun Jin) tells Jae Rim that he wants to get to know her better. He even asks her to visit his studio. It makes Cha Min quite jealous. But he still tries to control his personal feelings to help Jae Rim fulfill her desire to have a fairytale-like relationship.
Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale Episode 5: Pyo Ye Jin, Lee Jun Young kiss in front of everyone
Episode 5 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale begins right where episode 4 ends. After Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young) helps Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) get up from the floor, Ban Dan A (Song Ji Woo) furiously slaps him across the face. However, Cha Min does not seem to be bothered by it. He puts his coat over Jae Rim and takes her aside. There, he tells her to stand up for herself and not let anyone walk over her.
After that, when they return to the exhibition party, Moon Cha Min decides to help Jae Rim get everyone’s attention. The two end up kissing each other in front of everyone. It makes Baek Do Hong (Kim Hyun Jin) extremely flustered. Later, it is revealed that Do Hong knows Cha Min from a young age. It looks like something similar has happened before between the two. Later, Cha Min explains to Jae Rim that what he has done will help her gain attention from other men. Shin Jae Rim does not like hearing him say this, and she soon leaves the party.
Furthermore, in Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale episode 5, while at home, both Jae Rim and Cha Min can not stop thinking about their kiss. They can not even properly sleep at night. The next day, when they arrive at work, Cha Min pretends in front of Jae Rim as if the kiss is not a big deal to him. Seeing that, Jae Rim also decides to act unbothered by the kiss. However, in reality, they have started to develop feelings for one another.
Then viewers see Baek Do Hong appearing at the social club. He comes straight to Shin Jae Rim and acts nice to her. Jae Rim is surprised to see him act so kindly towards her after his behavior the other night. Do Hong then goes on to invite her to visit his studio. He further explains that he wants to get to know Jae Rim better. Thus, Jae Rim soon realizes that the kiss between her and Cha Min has worked.
Towards the episode’s end, another employee at the club tells Jae Rim that Moon Cha Min surely likes her. Thus, she goes to check if it is the truth. She goes to Cha Min’s office room and tells him about Do Hong’s invitation to his studio. She then asks Cha Min to kiss her one more time before she visits Do Hong’s studio. It is her way to check if he likes her or not. The episode ends with Jae Rim coming closer to Moon Cha Min for a kiss.
