Drier weather moves in through Labor Day

Drier air begins moving into New Mexico this weekend. Storms will still develop though across southern and western New Mexico, with isolated storms in central and northern parts of the state. Even drier weather moves in on Sunday, with just a couple isolated storms in southern New Mexico and southern Colorado. A few more storms may be possible on Labor Day in southeast New Mexico and southern Colorado, along with a chance in the northern mountains, but most areas will stay dry. Temperatures will steadily cool through Labor Day.

Dry weather returns for all of New Mexico Tuesday as high pressure starts building over the state. This will bring in warmer and sunnier weather by Wednesday. Temperatures will stay warm into the end of next week. Some forecast models bring back chances for rain late next week, but there is still a lot of uncertainty with that.
