EDDY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office located the body of a man who was reported missing in December 2023.
Deputies responded to a remote location near the intersection of Black River Village Road and Bounds Road in reference to a human body that had been discovered on May 17. The Office of the Medical Investigator performed an autopsy and was able to positively identify the person as William Kammerer, who was reported missing on Dec. 4.
The sheriff’s office said that the investigation is ongoing and foul play is suspected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 575-887-7551 or submit a Crime Stoppers tip.
