Emma Roberts Trains to Be an Astronaut in ‘Space

“We need unconventional candidates!” But do we really? Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for a comedy called Space Cadet, arriving for streaming worldwide on July 4th this summer. From the looks of it, this seems like it’s trying to be Legally Blonde but for NASA’s astronaut program instead of law school. “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for a Florida party girl.” Even that tagline is cringe. Emma Roberts stars as Tiffany “Rex” Simpson, who has always dreamed of going to space, and with a “doctored” application she gets into NASA’s ultra-competitive astronaut training program. In over her head, can this Florida girl get through training and into the cosmos before she blows her cover? Written & directed by Liz W. Garcia, Space Cadet is a comedy about the power of being yourself, following your dreams and shooting for the stars. The cast includes Tom Hopper, Poppy Liu, Gabrielle Union, with Kuhoo Verma, Desi Lydic, Sebastián Yatra, and Yasha Jackson.
