You & I is a new intimate romance movie written, directed, and edited by Summer Shelton. Starring Shelton and Clayne Crawford, the movie will be released in limited United States theaters later this month.

What happens in the You & I trailer?
The exclusive, dialogue-less You & I trailer introduces audiences to Shelton’s Sara and Crawford’s Joseph; two characters who once were deeply in love with one another and, now, years later, are spending a weekend with one another exploring what could have been.
“Sara, a music producer, currently living in New York flies into Knoxville, TN to celebrate her cousin Misty’s birthday,” the film’s synopsis reads. “Upon landing she travels to Misty and husband Mark’s bar and is surprised when Joseph, an old flame, unexpectedly arrives. The foursome agrees to spend Saturday afternoon together at Joseph’s mountain home. The friends have a civil evening of wine and walks down memory lane until Mark is called into work. After Misty and Mark leave, Sara and Joseph are alone at the house just as they would find themselves a decade ago. A slip of the tongue opens the floodgates of a maelstrom of emotional baggage to swirl between them. Sara leaves in anger; Joseph now alone with his regrets. Misty confronts Joseph and encourages him to make reparations. Ready to make amends, Joseph travels to Nashville with a token from their past that he hopes will mend their broken friendship. After reluctantly agreeing to speak, Sara accepts his apology and resets the dynamic of their relationship. In Nashville, away from their past and without any expectation of the future, they spend the night together enjoying the fleeting moment that they have. She returns to New York; he returns to Knoxville. Each to live their lives apart, but knowing their love and memories will connect them forever.”
The film also stars Ashley Shelton as Misty and Linds Edwards as Mark. Summer Shelton produces the movie alongside Crawford and Todd Remis, while Elaine Thomas and Leslie Garner serve as executive producers. Production companies involved with the project include Story Farm, Back40, Salem Street Entertainment, and Kaleidoscope Entertainment.
You & I will be released in limited theaters in the United States on Friday, October 18, 2024.
