Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Trailer Adds 2 Fighters

A new trailer has revealed two more fighters for SNK’s upcoming fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, one a familiar face and the other a brand-new character. The new additions bring the roster to a total of eight characters, although there will likely be more revealed ahead of the game’s release next year.

Who was revealed in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves trailer?

The familiar face revealed in the Summer Game Fest trailer was Captain of the Lilien Knights B. Jenet, while the new character is a street assassin called Vox Reaper. They join the roster alongside Terry Bogard, Rock Howard, Hotaru Futaba, Tizoc, Marco Rodriguez, and the new character Preecha.

New character Vox Reaper will be voiced by Erik Ransom and Toshiyuki Toyonaga. The street assassin was sent to eliminate Kain R. Heinlein but was foiled. Despite his murderous intentions, Kain’s bodyguard, Grant, recognises his talent and potential and takes him under his wing. Now Vox inhabits the battleground of South Town to fulfill his dying master’s wishes.

B. Jenet will be voiced by Amber Lee Connors and Mikako Komatsu. She has stayed in South Town following the events of the previous tournament. As a woman who is seemingly unable to express her lingering thoughts out loud, she views the upcoming KOF tournament as a way to express her views on Kain and Grant through actions instead. Her last franchise appearance was in the 1999 game Garou: Mark Of The Wolves, although she has more recently appeared in The King Of Fighters XV.

The new trailers also confirmed that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC early next year after more than 20 years since the last installment in the franchise. The new game will feature English voiceovers for the first time, hence why each character has two voice actors.
