Final-Campaign Polls: Firea Leads One, Dan Heads the Other

On the last day of the electoral campaign for the local elections, a survey commissioned by PSD puts Firea ahead Nicușor Dan in the race for the Bucharest City Hall, however by a hair, another poll gives the current mayor by far as the clear winner.

According to an opinion poll released on Friday by the PSD, Gabriela Firea ranks first in the list of options for the General City Hall, with 32%, followed by the independent candidate supported by the United Right Alliance, Nicușor Dan, rated with 31%. Cristian Popescu Piedone (PUSL) would get 11% of the votes, according to the same survey, commissioned by PSD.

The survey was conducted between May 31 and June 2 by a shadow polling company Epsilon Poll.

On the other hand, the percentages presented by the Epsilon survey are completely different from the data of another survey conducted by the American company Atlasintel and in which Nicușor Dan is given as the winner on Sunday.

According to this Atlasintel poll, Dan would get 44% of the votes, followed by Gabriela Firea, with 21.1%, Cristian Popescu Piedone, with 15% and the liberal Sebastian Burduja, with 7.6%. It should be mentioned that the other day, the liberals published a survey in which Burduja was credited only 0.2% away from Nicușor Dan, and Firea was at 21%.
