ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Crews are battling a fire in southwest Albuquerque on Williams St., just south of Prosperity Ave., which is between 2nd St. and Broadway Blvd.
Officials say they are working on a defensive strategy on the blaze, but flames were moving west towards 2nd St. Crews say 2nd St. will be closed from Bowers Rd. to Heather Ln. Officials say they expect to be working the fire for a long period of time. People are encouraged to avoid the area.
