Fire damages mobile home in Sunland Park

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KRQE) — Multiple fire crews responded to a mobile home fire in Sunland Park on Wednesday.

The fire took place on the 300 block of Low Road. The Sunland Park Fire Department crew said the fire was contained to the rear bedroom of the mobile home. Officials also said an RV, Fifth Wheel, and a storage shed were at a total loss.

Our sister station, KTSM, spoke with the family, who said all the occupants in the house got out safely. The fire department said six dogs, a snake, and a turtle were rescued from the mobile home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
