The Public Enemy rapper joined iHeart’s Politickin podcast hosted by California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom, former NFL star Marshawn Lynch and agent Doug Hendrickson on the Wednesday (Aug. 28) episode, where Flav revealed that he already filed the paperwork for a bid to be one of the USA’s torchbearers at the 2028 Olympic Games.

“Guess what? I got a feeling I might be one of them,” he teased. “I put my bid in already. I said, ‘If Snoop can carry the torch in Paris — come on, man — Flav can carry that bad boy in L.A.,’ and Snoop did a fantastic job, man.”

Flav gave Snoop Dogg his flowers: “He rocked. Even though they did pay him a half-a-million a day, Snoop got a nice payday out there, besides the payday, he did a good job and I know that man had a lot of fun out there. Mad big ups to you, Snoop.”

The Long Island native wants the “Gin and Juice” rapper to hook him up with one of his custom Olympic pins. “I want one of them pins too,” he added. “He got his own Olympic pin. I’m gonna try to get me one of them Olympic pins.”

Flavor Flav was all over the Olympics this summer as he pledged $1,000 and a cruise for the U.S. Women’s Water Polo team, and helped cover rent costs for discus thrower Veronica Fraley.
