Due to demand, the popular British band Glass Animals have expanded their 2024 Australian tour, adding a second show at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. The additional date was announced on the day general tickets went on sale for Glass Animals’ upcoming tour (5 July).
With the new show added, the Heat Waves outfit will now play at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Tuesday, 26 November, and Wednesday, 27 November. They’ll also play at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl (Wednesday, 20 November) and Brisbane’s Riverstage (Friday, 22 November).
Tickets to the band’s Sydney Opera House Forecourt show on the 27th are on sale now. Tickets for the other dates are also available via the Live Nation Australia website.
Glass Animals are hitting Australia on their Tour of Earth run. Their new album, I Love You So F***ing Much, will be out in two weeks (Friday, 19 July).
In a hilarious statement, Glass Animals singer Dave Bayley said of the band’s return down under,

When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So, we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever hottest 100 success with Gooey. And then you embraced Heat Waves so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek. It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes, and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me v happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror.
