Governor appoints new Economic Development Secretary

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed a new secretary for the Economic Development Department. Rob Black will oversee the state agency tasked with promoting job growth and working with businesses interested in relocating to New Mexico.


Governor talks human trafficking in Tuesday press conference

Black comes to the position with over 25 years of professional experience in New Mexico and California. Recently, he served as the president & CEO of the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce, where he led a statewide business leadership and advocacy organization of more than 500 members.

He will take over the position on September 16.
