The Grampet Group has completed an investment of 10 million euros in a grain transshipment terminal in Dornesti, Suceava County, the largest terminal in Europe.

Located on the border with Ukraine, the new complex is the fifth terminal operated by Grampet and its flagship company Grup Feroviar Roman, the leader in rail freight transport in Romania.

The new terminal in Dornesti allows the transport of 3 million tons of grain and thus becomes a strategic point in the flow of goods traffic to the port of Constanta. The complex plays an essential role in the transformation of Romania into a strategic railway node for the transport of goods from Europe.

“Today we inaugurated the largest grain transshipment terminal in Europe. The new complex was built following an investment of 10 million euros from own funds. The maximum capacity is 3 million tons of grain. The new terminal is a strong point for the development of the region and for the development of Romania. I want to thank our partners who contributed to the development and completion of this project,” said Gruia Stoica, president of Grampet Group.
