Hayley Williams Joins Taylor Swift Onstage For Surprise Song

Paramore fans were gifted an extra song from Hayley Williams at The Eras Tour on Saturday (June 22), when she joined Taylor Swift onstage to sing an acoustic rendition of their song Castles Crumbling.

During Swift’s second show at Wembley Stadium in London, she asked Williams to join her at the piano for the surprise song section of the night. Williams, who opens for Swift with Paramore at The Eras Tour, ran across the stage with arms outstretched to hug Swift, as she said, “I’m so proud of you.”

As the two sat down at the piano to sing, Swift reminded the audience that the last time the pair performed together was on her Speak Now tour in 2010.

“Isn’t that so cool? We were children,” Swift said.

“Do you guys feel like singing really loudly for this one?” Swift asked the crowd as she began to play Castles Crumbling. The duet, released on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in 2023, was a ‘vault’ track, meaning it wasn’t released on Swift’s original album.

Saturday night’s performance was the first time the song was sung live, and it was met with much excitement from the audience.

Mid-song, Swift stopped to look at Williams and say, “I love you so much. You’re so good, it’s crazy.” Addressing the audience, she continued, “I cannot believe that I get to be on a tour with Hayley. I can’t believe she’s ever talked to me once.”

Williams replied, “You’re my longest music friend. Thank you. I love you.”

Sunday was full of surprises too, with Travis Kelce joining on stage in a shock cameo, while Dave Grohl made headlines for insinuating that Swift doesn’t “actually play live”.
