Hobbs police investigate death of 26-year-old man

HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE) – The Hobbs Police Department is investigating the death of a 26-year-old man on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of North Gulf Street around 8:03 p.m. and found Jonathan Losoya of Hobbs with a life-threatening injury. Losoya was taken to Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital, where he died.

Hobbs Police Department detectives seek the public’s help with any witnesses or video or surveillance footage that may have captured the incident or other related activity in the area.

Detectives are also seeking assistance in locating 26-year-old Lexy Mabrey, as she is wanted for questioning regarding this incident.
