At the end of House of the Dragon S02E02, we see a short scene of Mysaria catching Arryk Cargyll doing something very suspicious. Her fate was unclear in the season 2 premiere after she gave Daemon enough information for him to plot an assassination attempt using Blood and Cheese. Rhaenyra could have decided to remove her in many ways during this second episode of the season, but fortunately, Rhaenrya’s actions led to Mysaria seeing something she wasn’t supposed to. However, the episode doesn’t go into detail about what she did, if anything, in response. Here’s whether Mysaria reveals Arryk’s plot in House of the Dragon Season 2.

Did Mysaria say anything about Arryk trying to kill Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon S02E02?

It is presumed that Mysaria did actually reveal Arryk’s assassination attempt to kill Rhaenyra at the end of House of the Dragon S02E02.

Since there is no scene that shows Mysaria telling anyone about how she saw Ser Arryk coming up on the path to Dragonstone, some viewers might be wondering if she did anything at all. But we see later that Ser Erryk bursts into Rhaenyra’s bedchamber, where Ser Arryk already had his blade drawn, and defends her from his twin brother. This likely only happened because Mysaria told Ser Erryk or another guard about the assassination attempt, since it looked like Arryk was getting through the castle’s defenses easily by posing as his brother.

That said, we will have to see whether this is revealed to be the truth in the third episode of the season, thought we’re fairly sure that this is what happened. This is because Mysaria decides to pause and turn around, telling her guard to stop a moment, when she catches Ser Arryk walking past her. It’s yet unclear how she’s able to figure that out, since Arryk and Erryk are difficult to tell apart, though perhaps her prior insight into King’s Landing might have tipped her off. Either way, the idea that Rhaenyra’s mercy for The White Worm, telling her that she is free to go despite her better judgment, saves her in some karmic way is the better story.

Also, it doesn’t look like Rhaenyra has a spymaster, or a Master of Whisperers, on her council. Larys Strong serves this role for King Aemon, but it doesn’t seem like this is a formal role on the small council as it is with Varys in Game of Thrones. At any rate, it would seem that Rhaenyra needs a spy like this to advise her and defend her for nefarious plots like this, and given Mysaria’s network and information about the Red Keep and King’s Landing, she would fit the bill nicely.
