What is The Sympathizer about?
The series has a total of 7 episodes. The show begins in a North Vietnam re-education camp where a man called the Captain confesses his story out of pressure. The story moves four months back in 1975 when the Captain meets CIA Agent Claude. The two go on a screening of Death Wish, where a woman is getting interrogated and tortured for carrying a vital list. Later, the General joins them while the women glares at the Captain in hatred. After two days, Captain joins the South Vietnam army but he continues to secretly work for North Vietnam. The star cast features Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Toan Lee, Fred Nguyen Khan, Duy Nguyen, and many others in key roles.
