Imprint Films has revealed its Imprint Asia September 2024 releases featuring action and thrills from Takeshi Kitano and Jackie Chan.
First up is Takeshi Kitano’s Brother (2000), a bloodthirsty drama set on the crime-fuelled streets of Los Angeles. Zhang Yimou is back in the Imprint collection with acclaimed historical thriller Cliff Walkers (2021), and Jackie Chan’s new hit action comedy Ride On (2023), filled with references to his classic filmography, completes the lineup.
All three are available to pre-order at the Imprint Films website.
Brother (Takeshi Kitano)
A Japanese Yakuza gangster’s deadly existence in his homeland gets him exiled to Los Angeles, where he is taken in by his little brother and his brother’s gang. Starring Kitano, Omar Epps, and Tatyana Ali.
Cliff Walkers (Zhang Yimou)
In the puppet state of Manchukuo in the 1930s, four Communist party special agents, after returning to China, embark on a secret mission. Sold out by a traitor, the team finds themselves surrounded by threats on all sides. Starring Zhang Yi and Qin Hailu.
Ride On (Larry Yang)
A washed-up stuntman and his stunt horse become an overnight social media sensation when their real-life fight with debt collectors goes viral. Starring Jackie Chan, Liu Haocun, and Guo Qilin.
