After the phenomenal success of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, anticipation for the sequel, Salaar 2, is at an all-time high. Fans of Prabhas have been eagerly awaiting updates on the next installment of the action-packed saga directed by Prashanth Neel. Recent revelations suggest that the wait might soon be over, with the actor gearing up to start shooting in August of this year.
When will Prabhas’ Salaar 2 release?
For those unaware, Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire was released on December 22, 2023, after multiple delays. Even after that, the film opened to massive box office collections and garnered impressive acclaim nationwide. The nail-biting cliffhanger ending set the stage for a sequel with intense conflict between the characters of Prabhas and Prithviraj. The massive success and the unresolved storyline left fans clamoring for the sequel.
According to Pinkvilla, the filming of the sequel is expected to span over eight months, starting in August. In other words, the production company, Hombale Films, aims to release Salaar Part 2 by the end of 2025. Initially, the makers planned to start filming in June 2024. However, recent updates suggest a slight shift in the schedule.
Furthermore, the report gave a sneak peek into what can be expected in Salaar Part 2’s plot. “The real drama and politics of the film unfold in the sequel. One will get to see a different and new dynamic of both Prabhas and Prithviraj in the film, which brings in intensity to the storytelling. The entire plot of the sequel was written way back in the pandemic and its now time to execute all the drama to the spectacle with scale and heroism,” a source revealed.
All in all, the sequel promises to elevate the stakes that will build on the foundation of its blockbuster predecessor. With shooting set to begin soon and a release planned for the end of 2025, the countdown for Salaar 2 has started.
